the late 17th century, which became a seat for Omani
education and learning.

NAKHL/RUSTAQ |

Drive to Barka to
visit fish market and witness local people how they
barter fresh catch fish. Proceed to visit Rustaq and
Nakhl. Rustaq is famous for its hot water springs. The
hot springs (Ain Al Kisfa) are said to have medicinal
value and in the olden days people used to travel far
and wide just to take a healing dip in the waters and
experience the nostalgia of days gone by.

NAKHL/AL THOWARA/WADI BANI AWF |
| |
Drive to Nakhal fort
which is also the highest fort in Oman, standing proudly
on top of a hilltop. Stop for a photo stop. Proceed to
the Al Thowara Oasis where one can witness the source of
the natural springs. Between Nakhl and Rustaq a hidden
road leads up a 2000 mtr part of the Hajar Mountain
range.

| |
On the way to Wadi
Shaab, pass by the fishing village of Quriyat. Proceed
to visit the Bimah Sinkhole, a spectacular limestone
crater that had been created many years ago by a
collapsing mountain and is filled with blue-green
seawater. Drive on to Wadi Shaab. Here you can enjoy
your pre-packed picnic lunch.

TRULY OMAN |

Wahiba Sands is a
vast mass of undulating red and white sand dunes rising
up to 200 meters and stretching as far as the eye can

ride up the precarious mountain side. A picnic lunch
will be provided, which you can enjoy at the Wadi Bani
Habib, a most beautiful dried up river bed which
stretches about 20-30km.

Oman’s Grand Canyon
is situated amidst the rocky terrain of the Jabal Shams
Mountain which is over 3,000 meters is high making it the

the Grand Canyon is absolutely breathtaking.
